整个空间里保留了许多原先工厂使用的家具配件，还有裸露的砖墙、重修的木地板、沉重的铁门、以及铆接的柱子等这些跟建筑本身风格相一致的东西。总之，这个办公室里有混合着科技和工业特征的家具配饰，还有粗犷的纹理和材质，这一切物件和器具还有氛围，都与使用者的需求完全吻合。

dhk has designed the new offices of Barclays Africa Digital Development located in Cape Town, South Africa.The new space is home to a small group of talented young software developers specialising in the design and development of high-end mobile and web-based solutions within the unique context of the developing African market.Designed to accommodate up to 60 developers, the office is very flexible and can be modified to support different project requirements.

The space still retains many of the original factory’s fittings and finishes and the materials palette takes its cue from the exposed brickwork, restored original timber flooring, heavy steel doors and riveted columns of the heritage building. An eclectic mix of high-tech and industrial style furniture and fittings contrasts the raw textures and materials with the gadgetry that the team works with.
