该项目是对“蜂鸟”住宅的重新改造。该住宅位于Mummy山脉北部地区的堤岸地带，地势向下倾斜，相当陡峭。住宅场地中的景观可谓多种多样，沿着大门口展开的的是一处颜色丰富的当地景观，当游客们穿过汽车旅馆到达前门时便可以看到，给人的感觉非常正式专业。另外场地中有一个艺术中心庭院，它可以作为室内生活空间的延展部分。

向路面倾斜的部分是一面近乎垂直的岩石墙面，墙上没有任何装饰。岩石墙面与侧翼墙面相接，形成了一个空间，这里可以种上大树和一些小灌木，这样不仅能够缓解侵蚀状况，而且长高的植物能够自然地生成一片私密空间，提高居民的安全感。在庭院内，设计团队利用多余的建筑材料创建了一个现代化的混凝土升管，它将位于两个层面的生锈植物槽连接起来。此外，Mayme Kratz所设计的树脂石笼墙将私人车道和住宅墙面连接到一起，非常独特，游客们到达花园时一定会注意到它。

This landscape renovation of the Hummingbird House, sited on the declivitous embankment on the north side of Mummy Mountain, is comprised of a progression of landscape experiences – a colorful, native landscape alongside the entrance drive gives way to a more formal experience as one moves through the auto court to the front entry, and an art centric courtyard which is an extension of the indoor living spaces.

The incline along the road features nearly vertical walls of exposed schist. Matching boulders are naturally sited flanking the walls to allow for establishment of native trees and shrubs, providing a dense growth for privacy while also reducing erosion. Within the courtyard, a spare use of materials creates a modern aesthetic – concrete risers unite the two levels, rusted steel slot planters. Mayme Kratz’s resin gabion wall stitches together the driveway and house wall, providing a magnificent focal point in the garden.
