SWA provided master planning services for this 2,500-acre resort adjacent to Sun Valley, Idaho with complementary residential and recreation facilities. The property is located in an open treeless valley framed by the Sawtooth Mountains. Given the environmental and visual sensitivity of this setting and the recreational orientation of the program, the design for Elkhorn provides an excellent example of the possibilities for both careful stewardship of the land and the creation of invigorating outdoor environments for people.
