日前，kere设计团队为Mama Sarah Obama基金会（简称MSOF）创建了“传奇社区”，位于肯尼亚，整个项目花费12,000,000美元。据悉，该基金会是以美国总统奥巴马的独自生活着的祖母而设立的，基金会的使命是为了让美国的孩子们和贫困家庭能够过上美好的生活，孩子们能够接受到优质的教育。该项目位于肯尼亚的Kogelo地区，这里是总统奥巴马父亲的家乡，在该阶段，设计团队希望建造一个幼儿教育发展中心，一个小学和中学，一个职业培训学校和一个医院，而这些全部基础设施都将位于这片社区环境内。

每个学校的设计都各有各的特点，针对性很强，包括图书馆，运动厂和游乐场等等设施，都针对对应的年龄阶层设计。设计团队希望通过创造一个教育性的环境来发展孩子们的好奇心和培养他们善于批判，善于思考的学习态度，来到这里的小孩子们一定会从先进的教育环境中受益，等到进入社会，他们也将利用从年轻时的学习和生活中学习的知识应用到实际生活中。尽管各学校的运作都有着自己的一套程序，但是它们通过一系列的公共社区紧密地联系在一起，比如礼堂，运动场和咖啡馆等。在工程的第一阶段，设计团队打算将幼儿教育发展中心的建设完成。到了第二阶段后，设计团队将对现存的奥巴马小学和中学的建筑进行改造，使它们紧跟时代，跟上当今社会的脚步。

Kere Architecture has designed a $12 million "Legacy Campus" in Kenya for the Mama Sarah Obama Foundation (MSOF) - the foundation of the sole living grandparent of president Barack Obama whose mission is to feed and educate children and impoverished families. Planned for Kogelo, Kenya (the birthplace of President Barack Obama’s father), the phased plan is to build an early childhood development center, a primary and secondary school, a vocational training school and eventually a hospital all within a single campus.

Each school is uniquely designed for its specific age group with age-appropriate libraries, playgrounds, and sports fields. By creating educational environments that promote curiosity and critical-thinking, students will anticipate educational advancement and will be prepared to succeed in their everyday lives beyond the classroom.Although the schools operate completely individually from each other, they are united through a variety of shared public spaces such as an auditorium, sports fields, and cafeteria. The project's first phase will complete the Early Childhood Development Center. Its second phase will consist of rehabilitating the existing barack Obama Primary and secondary schools.
