去年夏天，七位国际知名的创意人员，向人们展示了一个以披萨为主题的店面，当时这里正在做前窗，自从那时候开始，我们就一直在拭目以待PLY的开张营业。历经几个月的施工之后，这家餐厅终于一切准备就绪，在曼彻斯特Northern Quarter(诺斯夸特酒店）开业了。餐厅里那个夸张的mirrorball烤箱，就好像要是再不吃披萨明天就世界末日了一样，而且，艺术元素在这里的披萨美食里也充当着很重要的角色。

PLY有创造力的合作伙伴Instruct Studio，将他们的创意点子淋漓尽致的用在了这里的室内设计和品牌打造上。在店内后部的屏幕上，有一个时间长达90秒钟的视频展示区，设计团队和建筑团队都在努力那这个面积5500平方英尺的地方，从原先的纺织品仓库转变成餐厅，他们把墙皮铲掉再重新漆成白色。餐厅里既有经典的埃姆斯家具，也有在当地订制的一切物件。索尔福德工作室还帮助Instruct Studio，打造出了一些诸如灯箱和店招等有特色的东东。

We’ve been licking our lips in anticipation of the opening of PLY since last summer, when the front window of the then-unfinished pizzeria hosted an exhibition of pizza-themed films by seven international creatives. Fast forward a few months and it’s all systems go at the restaurant in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, with the magnificent mirrorball oven turning out pizzas like there’s no tomorrow and art continuing to play an important role in the production.

PLY’s creative partner Instruct Studio sprinkled their stardust over both the interior and branding. Behind the screens of the PLY in 90 seconds window exhibition, the construction and design teams have been beavering away on the 5,500 sqft former textile warehouse, stripping back and then whitening the walls. Furniture varies between classic Eames designs and pieces custom made in Manchester, and Salford firm Workroom Industries collaborated with Instruct to fabricate various features including lightboxes and signs.
