Flamingo visitor center is an interesting phenomenon from the point of view of the approach to the design and shaping of architecture. This is a prime example, first of all, of architecture as a tool, and not as a design.

Громадський центр «Фламінго» — цікаве явище з точки зору підходу до проектування та формування архітектури. Це, насамперед, яскравий приклад архітектури як інструменту, а не як дизайну.

Yes, of course, icon building should be beautiful and recognizable, but in this case is important, first of all, to give the opportunity to watch a nature. This project acts as a connecting element between the reserve and the tourist, and visually invites the average person to interact: "sit down, relax, enjoy the views."

Так, звичайно, будівництво ікон має бути красивим і впізнаваним, але в цьому випадку важливо, перш за все, дати можливість спостерігати за природою. Цей проект виступає як сполучний елемент між заповідником і туристом, а також візуально запрошує пересічну людину до взаємодії: «сісти, розслабитися, насолодитися краєвидами».

Taking into account the dry and hot climate of the area, it was decided to deprive the glazing on most of the facade in public places. But, nevertheless, glaze around the perimeter of the first floor, which is recessed inside the building, in order to avoid a large number of direct sunlight. Those rays that make their way to the first floor, beat off in the reflection of water and thereby illuminate the inner hall. And the water in the pool is cool at the same time and creates a favorable humid climate for cafes and audiences.​​​​​​​

Враховуючи сухий та спекотний клімат місцевості, було прийнято рішення позбавити скління більшої частини фасаду в громадських місцях. Але, тим не менш, по периметру першого поверху проходить вітринне скло, яке заглиблений всередину будівлі, щоб уникнути великої кількості прямих сонячних променів. Ті промені, які пробираються на перший поверх, відбиваються у відображенні води і тим самим освітлюють внутрішній зал. Вода в басейні, в той же час, прохолодна і створює сприятливий вологий клімат для кафе та аудиторії.

Features of the project

Особливоість проекту - його детальна розробка, педантичність щодо того, де він знаходиться і як він «спілкується» з людиною. Це не просто чотири стіни і дах. Це орієнтований на людину простір, що має характер.
