The task of this project was to create an

innovative lighting concept

for the interior of

Volkswagen ID. Series

, together with engineers from the

Leibniz University Hannover

The concept "ID.nightDrive" is a night driving mode for the whole ID. series.

Different types of patterns that are invisible in the daytime, are highlighting the interior of the vehicle at night, when night driving mode is activated. The concept works with the effect of fluorescence paintings wich are animated to glow by several UV-LEDs.

After the ideation phase the three chosen themes for the 3D patterns were
