“The project is about a single story private residence in Rio, a small town near Patra, Greece. The main functions of the house are taking place on the ground floor. The “L” shape volume is divided in two swings. The first, the north-east one,  hosts the living areas of the house, such as the kitchen, the dining room and the living room, while the other one contains the three master bedrooms of the family.

The architecture and geometry of this residence is simple.  A through opening, on the north side of the building, acts as a protection frame and contributes to the shading and natural light of the rooms. On the south side, where the bedrooms are, a semi-covered space is formed. In all aspects the large windows dominate offering unhindered view to the exterior. The color is given through  materials of special constructions such as wood paneling sun protection, glass and frames or other metal structures in tons of anthracite. In general, white dominates while anthracite was chosen for details such as alluminum frames.”
