错位几何 | Mirrors Collective 新品探索镜面艺术

Mirrors Collective , a freshly launched designer and manufacturer of mirrors , has debuted their first collection: Wrong Geometries . Seven mosaic-like designs explore flattened planes and slightly asymmetrical shapes, creating dynamic juxtapositions with other items in a space. Hand-polished edges, along with a backing composed of recycled paper and natural resins, are eye-catching finishing touches to the collection.

In 2020, founders Reid Hoyt and Valeriy Shvetsov combined their experiences in furniture and lighting design and glass and mirror fabricating to develop Mirrors Collective. In order to keep a close eye on the details, they decided to build everything from the frames to the packaging in-house. Their process allows for more variety, customization, experimentation and shorter lead times. Valeriy focuses on craft and quality, and Reid focuses on the creative potential of the tools, techniques and materials involved.

Their aim is to be a blank canvas for designers, architects and others. Each mirror is made to order, allowing for further customization, with a lead time of one to two weeks.
