The store has joined in the 20th anniversary celebrations of Prague’s Designblok festival with a pop-up shop at the fair’s main spot – the 19th-century Industrial Palace. Czech designer Lucie Koldova was invited to realise the installation and she used new glass concepts by Brokis Lighting to structure the set as an ode to the country’s rich history in glass craft. WallpaperSTORE* launched this architectural flower shop, its inaugural Copenhagen pop-up, at Danish design pinnacle Hay House. The floral project was launched alongside the annual 3 Days of Design event, and was created in collaboration with some of the city’s best in the business: flower stylist Emelie Johansson and Tableau, a new space in the Danish city that showcases flora as art. Using WallpaperSTORE* vases including structural ceramic models by Dimore Studio, copper infused silhouettes from Nude and vibrant acrylic works by Studio Hattern, Johansson adorned the vessels with a range of flora, such as peonies, Lupins, Snapdragons and Zinnias.

WallpaperSTORE* teamed up with the Venetian Design Studio Zanellato/Bortotto for its concept pop-up shop within DESIGN VE. exhibition (Biennale Design Walks through Venice).  The environment was a homage to Venice and its its ‘Acqua Alta’ apocalyptic recurrent syndrome, when waters from the Canals & Laguna invade streets and campo around town due to high tides, the STORE* was serviced by local Venetian architecture students. Unique previews of limited edition pieces from Minimalux, Salvatori, Venini, La Chance, L’Objet, Michael Anastassiades and Nason & Morreti featured, and the store’s design installation was powered by local Italian metal furniture excellence De Castelli.
