Category:Apartments Housing
The disused Kindlimann site is now in a high-density mixed residential area with a population of about 800 people. It has direct access to the Bussigny train station and is therefore part of the Lausanne conurbation, a strong driving force for development.
CCHE
The main challenge of the project lies in the transformation of an industrial wasteland into a quality urban area uniting the proposed density, a lever for affordable rents, with a harmonious social mix. Lausanne's influence is leading to a change in lifestyles and causing a profound cultural transformation of the place.
CCHE
The island provides the best possible protection for human beings from railway and industrial noise pollution. However, the project in Bussigny is more than an island: openings connect it to the urban fabric, the station, the youth center and the forest. The differentiation of the heights of the buildings offers formal alternation, maximum sunshine and views of the lake and the Alps. Three strata articulate different housing forms adapted to the needs of the inhabitants, thus guaranteeing social mix.
CCHE
The proposed density requires the development of quality common spaces: squares linked to the public infrastructure, courtyards planted with plants as the lungs of the site, a high walk allowing a different appropriation of the neighborhood, more intimate terraces, a meeting place with lawns, vegetable gardens and playgrounds.

The project being developed in BIM, any 2D or 3D document is always available to all stakeholders on a CDE platform. The coordination is managed by BCFs that allow a precise follow-up of each problem. Each element of the digital models being informed, the attribution to the part of the work, to the trade and the accounting is done without ambiguity.
