UBU, a new and cutting-edge fintech company that strives to revolutionise the local and international e-commerce landscape, tasked thinkspace with creating a vibrant and exciting workspace that encompasses their dynamic company culture.

The workspace itself required a high level of flexibility and collaboration while allowing for organic growth amongst the various business functions.

For UBU, the primary focus was to create a collaborative, non-corporate environment that was aligned to their clear and innovative brand values. The goal was to not only instil their culture into the workspace for their dynamic team but to also communicate the UBU ethos in order to attract the best talent in the industry.

The experience begins by being welcomed into a UBU branded cafe arrival area which sets the scene visually and gives the visitor a glimpse into the UBU culture while connecting seamlessly to the adjacent meeting, social, and breakout areas.

UBU International's operational areas consist of two spacious, collaboration-focused, and team-orientated hubs which boast spectacular views of the city. Featuring organically shaped workstations to maximise teamwork and communication, both hubs are surrounded by a diverse meeting room landscape emphasising the agile working and modern workspace approach.

A mix of exposed soffits, bulkheads, slatted structures, suspended lighting, and services create both volume as well as a modern, industrial and vibrant visual experience.

The selection of furnishings, finishes, and textures used in the UBU workspace are influenced by their brand philosophy and company culture and based on a natural and light colour palette.

The introduction of greenery throughout the workplace invigorates the area and creates a calming but vibrant ambiance.

A lot of attention was put into distinct detailing within various areas of the workspace, including whiteboards, vision panels, custom joinery, bespoke furniture, and bulkhead details.

UBU's new office represents a workplace that is both welcoming and inspiring, established to motivate the team members to work in a collaborative and modern way, all while driving the UBU philosophy and motivating the skilled staff to continue developing innovative technology.
