“好的选材铸就好的室内品质”，这是设计师一直尊崇的不变宗旨。在英国帕丁顿，93ft事务所为来访者完美呈现了他们的这一理念。Pilgrm酒店坐落于伦敦帕丁顿一栋历史悠久的建筑里，从内部装修到家具摆设都由设计师一手打造。酒店入口如商铺门店般引人注目。原本破旧的立面瓷砖被手动铺设的蓝色瓷砖锁替代，一些搭配点缀的金色细节让该立面独具风采。

“Great materials are at the heart of great design and therefore beautiful interiors”, as is believed by the designers. 93ft has presented a totally bespoke hotel The Pilgrm in Paddington, UK. The Pilgrim situated in an old building in which from the interior design to the furniture design are all designed by the 93ft in their own studio. The entrance of the hotel is as expressive as a shop front. The blue tiles are hand paved, which are on purpose to replace the old ones, and the gold elements are proper decorated.

此次翻修工程包括对原建筑中的各个房间进行了改造，且每个房间各具特色。酒店入口的接待处亦作为咖啡吧台使用，稀有的大理石纹理桌面板和修缮后的木质楼梯，搭配现代化的灯饰，建立了古往今来的对话。接待大厅保留了老建筑的砖墙，破败的砖墙搭配复古的楼梯别有一番滋味。原建筑楼梯拥有极致优雅的细节，因此对楼梯的修缮和保留也为该酒店的呈现增色不少。设计师定位于实现酒店的高效运行，以及增加酒店内部的社交生活。从大堂到咖啡厅再到客房，大胆的装饰元素和空间介入让旅居生活更加轻松自如。

The restored project includes the rooms of multi-functions in each unique styles. The reception area also act as coffee severs. The rare feature piece of marble and the restored wood stairs at the entrance, plus the illuminations of both modern and ancient, seemingly establish a dialogue between the new and the old. The wood stairs is in company with the retained exposed brick wall on the side, which make this place quite impressive. The delicate detail of the wood stairs make it a strong reason for preserving. The goal that the hotel sets is to achieve the efficient operation, as well as increasing the social interactions. From the lobby to coffee bars then to the bedrooms, the boldly use of architecture elements and the spatial interventions thus contributes to the comfortable and ease experiences of visitors.

50根铜管组成的吊灯成为接待处最醒目的装饰，该灯饰也由设计师亲手打造。酒店外部的人字花纹大理石贴砖蔓延至室内，花纹与混凝土地面的交界似是奢华与朴素的交接。

A 50 drops of brass tubing make up the feature chandelier which becomes the main character of the reception space. This decoration is also made and designed by 93ft. A piece of place is filled with mini marble herringbone mosaics that coming from the outside, and joining in the concrete wall in the inside. The combination of the marble and concrete could be described as a luxury junction of outside and inside.

大面积的立面开窗给予咖啡区一个明亮欢愉的氛围，而靠窗的座椅也给予就坐的客人们与街角对视的机会。松散布置的定制座椅让来访者拥有更加自在的享受，钢结构边桌采用原建筑中的部分大理石材料作为桌面。柔和的色调最能带给人舒适的感受，因此在保留深色地板的基础上，设计师将座椅搭配成粉色和绿色。回收的材料加上现代化的设计，打造出不一样的休闲空间。

The big openings on the facade and the seatings along the window allows the visitors to have a good view of the outside street, as well as bringing in the natural light for the bright and joyful interior. The loose placed customized chairs enables the visitors to enjoy a relaxed experience. The steel frame tables are using some of the existing marble in the building as the surfaces. Color is a strong reason for visitors to feel comfortable and relaxed, thus, by retaining the dark wood flooring, the designer placed chairs of warm green and pink to create a cosy public space. The restored materials and the modern design contributes to an unexpected interior space.

裸露的砖墙为客房营造了典型的伦敦氛围。柔和舒适的暖色调，搭配每间房内独特的灯具设计，给旅人一个如家的环境。客房中最精致的细节莫过于由红木、黄铜、钢轨和镜面组成的衣帽架。精致的细节不仅迎合的卧室的整体设计，也让短暂的居住生活告别杂乱无章。原建筑保留下来的暖气片似乎是卧室里最格格不入的组成部分，但确实设计师最喜欢的部分之一。窗外的景色映入房间中，在新与旧，自然与人为的环境里别有一番滋味。

The exposed brick build to a typical London atmosphere of the bedroom. The soft and warm tone with each unique dinky light, that deliver travelers a home-like space loving space. The most delicate detail of the bedroom has to be the coat hanger which is made by antique mahogany, steel, brass and mirror. Each single detail is so exquisite that makes itself not only adapted to the whole interior design of the room but also offers a beautifully designed solution to storage. The Cast Iron Radiator seems like at the most unexpected part in the room, while is one of the best-like part of the designer. The reflection of nature from outside built a connection between the new and the old.

家具的选材充分考虑到实用性和耐久性，以及在时间的流转中，这些材料所呈现出的年代感：200年生的红木地板、床头板和嵌板，由钢材和真皮定制的沙发，薄荷色的大理石桌面等等。此外，设计师还对原建筑中的灯进行了重新设计，不同功能的房间搭配不同样貌的复古灯具，老物新用，为酒店增添复古优雅气息。

The materials choosing are mainly focusing on the practicality and durability, as well as the story it could tell with the changing of times: the use of beautiful 200 year old antique mahogany flooring, headpiece and panels; the steel and real leather customized sofa; the mint colored marble table front etc. Different lights are placed in different function of rooms. Moreover, the old lightings are redesigned and placed at new places to contributes to the retro and elegant atmosphere.
