We have to decide how to position ourselves on a plot of land with a steep slope, with stunning views of the Ferrol estuary.

The first thing is to separate ourselves from the neighbouring houses that block our view. The second thing is to place a piece of stone in the ground. A stone driven into the ground as has been done all our lives in Galicia. A clean, rounded volume that occupies a small area on the ground plan, and therefore with little earth movement, and that blends into the terrain, controlling it and forming part of it without complexes.

The house is split into two halves, developing its circulation over two floors, generating a spiral circulation, passing from one room to another without corridors, or, to put it another way, each half is a room...

The piece turns slightly with respect to the plot in order to seek the views and the afternoon sun, closing the face to the road. The neighbours will see a closed house, when they enter they will not imagine what they are going to find. In a house with such a steep slope, the car has to be left as soon as possible, and then, little by little, go down to the house in a relaxed way, getting some fresh air, which is why we are in the countryside.
