赫尔辛基中心图书馆

赫尔辛基中心图书馆竞赛的目的是为了建立一个国家级的可提升人民文化和娱乐需求的图书馆。因此这个图书馆不仅仅是空间，更多的担负了社会责任，是一个多功能的集合体，包含会议，商业，教育场所。强有力的建筑形式将它们统一起来。

长方形的基地上，四端上有两点被提高，形成锐利的三角造型，打破城市天际线的韵律。在屋顶中部折弯处形成一个联系建筑两侧的通道。开放的屋顶可供人活动，上面种植着季相丰富的植物。该折弯处也把建筑分成两个功能截然不同的部分。图书馆中功能定位清晰，能够支持大量的民众进行活动。并在可以看到周围美丽建筑或风景的地方设置了观景台。这个图书馆无疑是城市中具备吸引力的场所。

This competition intent was to establish a proposal for a Central Library to Helsinki that aims to incorporate a combi- nation of personal cultivation, culture enhancement and entertainment. The library has been transformed from a space to read into a social center with multiple responsibilities. Consequently it needs to be thought as a functionally versatile meeting place, a store of education in which the users are the focus and the building itself the symbol of attraction and connectivity.
