以虚为空白，其实并不是没有东西，主要在于求其空灵，然而空不是空而无物。

In fact, empty as blank, not nothing, mainly lies in seeking its emptiness, but empty is not empty and nothing. 

如山水画，画一片密树林，其中密林太密，觉得平了，可插画点房子，或画几株在云雾中的树，使有虚的意义，房子、云雾是实的画材，不着色，同样有白的感觉，即为实中有虚，实中求虚即为实中求其空灵。

Such as landscape painting, painting a dense forest, the forest is too dense, feel flat, can illustrate the house, or draw a few trees in the clouds and fog, so that there is a virtual meaning, the house, the clouds and fog are real painting materials, not coloring, the same sense of white, that is, there is virtual in the real, the virtual in the real is to seek its emptiness in the real.
