The house is designed for a family of two adults, two teenage children and for the many friends who visit the family, especially in summer. The couple also likes to go to the house themselves, all year round, over a weekend, for example. In the cold season, it is therefore important to only be able to heat a limited part of the house, and to quickly get the house warm. The house therefore has, but also to create an energy-efficient house, four temperature zones. The zones are delimited by insulated walls and sliding gates.

The house has a standing spruce panel with iron vitriol to interact with nature and the nearby fishing village.
