PROUD EBISU HILLSIDE GARDEN is a mixed-use urban development with condos, a hotel, a nursery, and a senior daycare. Integrating diverse programmatic functions, the building mixes generations and nationalities aiming to tackle problems. These include lacking elderly and childcare facilities in the fastest aging country and the shortage of lodging ahead of the Tokyo Olympics. Inspired by Crystallization, we fused the functions, overlapping them vertically on the sloped site. Reflective materials are used organically throughout, along with geometric balconies, the architecture sparkles.
