intends to go beyond a mere lifespan extension of the building aiming to turn it into a modern, dynamic landmark. Baumit’s ETICS system plays a fundamental role in combination with a rigorous study of its finishing’s colours and the opacity of the complementary microperforated metal skin.

The original building stood out as austere, grey, hard concrete. Located on a strategic spot and visible for thousands of daily drivers from the M-30 road, the new Ilunion headquarters required a comprehensive refurbishment ensuring its importance to be strongly reflected. The new façade provides a modern and dynamic solution by combining a first light insulating ETICS system by Baumit, which mechanically adheres to the existing façade, with an external microperforated metal sheet double skin. Technically, both systems coexist with great success by reducing uncontrolled solar gains while minimizing energy loss through the building fabric. Aesthetically, they create a vibrant effect by showing the coloured pixelated finishing of the ETICS system, which spreads progressively across the elevations, changing and embracing the building, only at night, thanks to rigorously studied external illumination. \'Tower 30\' has been turned nowadays into a reference spot in Madrid’s circulatory system.
