“The search for beauty contributes to a common good, this is why I would like to live in a space that springs out of the desire to do good for others; create a melting pot for ideas, a cornerstone, a place of virtue.”
Andy Bianchedi, the Owner
A chameleonic Family Office that changes sceneries during the day, that can house different types of guests and activities; from the Crystal Cave Island to the Cigar & Think Island, an archipelago of versatile islands.
An urban gathering point in the heart of Brera, open and alive 24/7 (yes, during the night hours too). Here, passions are enhanced, people work both together and individually for the community, in view of the idea that No Man Is an Island.
John Donne becomes an inspiration for the concept of the Milanese Family Office in via Cernaia, a space that has nothing to envy to the big workplaces. On the contrary, its 100 mq contain all the comfort and functionality needed to carry out family-sized office activities.
“The search for beauty contributes to a common good”, this is how Andy Bianchedi begins the therapy session for his new space. The sea knight, who is among other things, a supporter of the Marevivo association. He wanted to make this place into a hotbed, where new ideas can be developed and directed towards contributing to the good of society. This is why the Family Office has been thought up as an archipelago of islands, each one characteristic, but always linked to the other, creating a unique shared form.
This is where No man is an Island comes in - the design concept which expresses a direct connection with the good-doing for the community; even if we live on separate islands in the world, we are only good if connected to one another.
Similarly, the Family Office was thought up for housing different flexible sets that can transform from an office to a place for events, from an operating area to a relax area. The shared office spaces typical of the big offices have been replicated on a smaller scale, without sacrificing aspects that define contemporary work ways.
You can stay offline in the Power Point Free island, where the use of your devices, even personal ones, is forbidden! Or, concentrate in the Crystal Cave, where sight and smell are appeased in a comfy sensorial corner. On the other hand, slow smoking of a good cigar is a great way to relax and get inspired with ideas in the Cigar & Think Island.
Its design specificity is in the structure, all the sets physically follow one another on two tracks that run on the same plane; from the public area to the private one, the work, break, and lounge tables have been designed on different heights and flow in a single stream.
