The Canadian fashion store Hudson’s Bay entered the Dutch retail landscape in September 2017. After the opening of the first branches, it will also be Amstelveen's turn soon. The former V&D location is largely being demolished and rebuilt for this.
In collaboration with Metadecor, the architect designed four types of facades. The store will become a real eye-catcher thanks to the use of MD Formatura, MD Expanded Metal, MD Flack and MD Shapes. In addition, panels with MD Design perforation are added to the balcony on the ceiling.
The department store itself will be given a façade with a combination of MD Flack and MD Shapes providing an appealing whole. MD Flack and MD Expanded metal will be installed on the roof to hide the cooling installation from view, among other things. The parking garage is covered with MD Formatura, made from small triangles. This not only provides a unique appearance, it also provides sufficient ventilation in the garage. Finally, we decorate the ramp in the garage with MD Flack.
