A cocktail and tapas bar on the port of Baia. The historic shipyard of Baia was located right in the building that has now been converted into a bar. The choice to keep the original name and the shape of the ancient building, led to the identification of the furniture and communication theme that evokes in every choice the industrial condition of the origins while maintaining a refinement of materials and details that certainly does not belong to world of engineering but rather to that of luxury catering. In fact, even the use of leather inserts for communication such as menus, coasters, aprons are part of this choice as the design of the brand that despite being very geometric succeeds with a single elegant gesture to enclose the acronym of the room. The outdoor patio has been equipped with concrete seating designed specifically by the studio and made by a local craftsman, colorful deck chairs, the iconic Acapulco plastic wire chairs and solid logs. The internal environment is dominated by the kitchen volume covered in Corten steel, which frames the central axis of the building together with the bar counter. For the counter of the bar the manuarino studio has chosen white Carrara marble in contrast to the corten and the elements painted in green 6005. In the center, a large solid wood table made to measure, with the supporting beams surfacing on the surface of the floor . In addition to the table, other prominent elements are the separè and the cash desk in polycarbonate framed always with 6005 painted steel and backlit. Some furnishings are part of a selection of vintage and modern items. Among the most interesting elements there are some Thonet chairs and a triple wooden cinema seat. The whole plant engineering part is clearly stated. The air conditioning has been solved with some recessed elements left exposed and masked with a perforated corten grid that reveals the operating backbones.
