The main design concept is based around anamorphic optical illusion. The viewers entering the DDB offices enter at the unique vantage point from which the DDB logo is visible in its perfect form.
As their journey continues, the viewers can see that the illusion was formed by color applied throughout the whole space of the agency.
An office landscape has been created to promote communication and teamwork with a mix of open spaces, retreats and collaboration areas. It also assures both transparency and discretion, enables rapid orientation within the space and reflects the agency’s creative character.
The colour scheme is developed around the clients corporate identity.
We splashed colour into DDB, the creative agency’s office in Prague, by creating an anamorphic optical illusion. Visitors and employees are welcomed by the company’s striking massive logo, painted light blue and white against a black lobby. Standing form the specific vantage point, viewers see the filled in ‘B’ in its perfect form. However, when moving forward to enter the space, the logo colors the interior offices completely and viewers realize the illusion was formed by color applied throughout the whole space.
The clean white surfaces further inside draw visitors in where they’ll spot a colorful wall of upholstered stools, which are arranged to look like their logo. The wall display is used as a creative solution to store extra seating for when it’s needed. When a group meeting or presentation is happening, employees can easily pop a stool out and have a seat.
A cafeteria and lounge area has also been integrated into the space as the result of a staff workshop. With variable seating, it can be used for training, talks and internal workshops, while also serving as an internal meeting point for staff interaction.
