A redesign of the top floor was requested as the owner unveiled us the recently finished commercial building. 

The finished structure made a clean appearance with rectangular rental spaces on each floor and sandwich-panel roofing sitting on a three-meter-high concrete wall on the top floor. The client's request was straightforward: to develop an atmosphere above and beyond function. 

In actuality, it is well known to be arduous for most architects to work on a project that has already been established, but the necessity to "create an atmosphere" motivated me to embark on this oblivious task.

We decided to recreate an expanded space with solely white walls and transparent glass.

The skylights and long horizontal windows break the wall where the faces meet, and the furniture built into the wall appears to stretch through the glass to the terrace. 

In addition, to enhance the appearance of expansion of space, all the window frames are concealed; leaving only white walls and transparent glass on display.Due to such intricate design, all you see in this space are simple white walls and transparent glass. As a result, light exists exclusively in space. 

As soon as you step onto the converted rooftop, the sky above opens up, instantly drawing your attention to the terrace with the view of the city sprawling out endlessly below. Space, therefore, is entirely to be credit for.
