The design choices of Casa Piet Mondrian are born with the aim of giving flexible answers to the different needs of generations and lifestyles of its inhabitants.
Without giving a too sophisticated or too dry tone, the insertion of iconic design elements and bespoke elements in canaletto walnut embraces all the spaces that wind along a path where the architectural box leaves space outside and to the interior without ever overlying them.
The result is an apartment that plays on the contrasts between elegance and freshness, between colors and materials, between minimal furnishings and bespoke elements.
At the entrance, a double living room is divided between the conversation area that develops around the fireplace and the TV area, where custom joinery elements combine together with the textures of the upholstery and carpets to warm the environment. A band of color collects the lounge and leads up to the dining room divided but united by the adjacent environment by a custom element with open elements. The fully custom-made kitchen is made of black walnut and FENIX and houses a corner dedicated to breakfast and quick meals.
Along the corridor leading to the sleeping area, there is a study corner that anticipates the design of the bedrooms. The two bedrooms of the boys play on a characterizing color in the middle of the wall which is reproduced in the carpentry elements of the bathrooms and in some details of the study desks. The master bedroom maintains the same philosophy with a warm color scheme as a backdrop for Scandinavian-style furnishings and elements contrasted by furnishings with more complex and elegant lines and padded with woven and precious fabrics.
