With the Craftsmen hotel I wanted to surprise the guests by creating rooms with a story and hidden surprises. Each room represents an Amsterdam craft which is displayed by antique tools and equipment that has been turned into art. For example, in the artist maisonette there are paint drips all over the floor, from the first floor in this room these paint drips create a portret of van Gogh. In the Brewer Cellar there is a small old brewery hidden in the antique boxbed. In the Boatbuilders Room you can enjoy a boat shaped bath looking over the canals in Amsterdam, while sleeping next to antique ship horns.

My passion and daily business is finding antiques and redesign them into artworks, these can be lamps, watches, boats, cars, motorcycles, whatever the find tells me what it wants to be. Function Follows Form, Form Follows Finds.
