Winner of the 2018 Retail (Small Format) Award at the ICSC VIVA Global Awards. This makes the Riedel Wine Bar & Cellar the best designed (small) retail/leisure outlet in a shopping centre anywhere in the world in 2018.

Set in one of Bangkok’s long-standing luxury malls, Riedel Wine Bar and Cellar intends to be the ultimate destination for wine lovers in South East Asia and beyond. The first wine bar and restaurant by the world-renowned Riedel glassware company, this high-profile project is a destination that balances functionality, refinement, Riedel brand heritage and high-quality design.

Our design team created a concept for the interior design featuring private pockets of luxuriously furnished corners, helping enhance the customers' wine tasting experience. The material palette makes use of brass, vintage leather and silk textiles. The approach included references to the heritage of the Riedel brand as well as the industrial processes involved in glass making.

The design features custom iron fittings, bespoke lighting fixtures referencing glass blowing techniques, as well as mesh panels originating from glass-making factories.
