A Brooklyn artist hired NPARCH to design a flexible and adaptable studio space required for over-sized ceramic sculpture in Hudson, NY.

The prefab metal structure was chosen to convey an industrial feel, and a translucent wall system was installed on the entire front elevation in order to maximize natural light. The interior space was specifically left stark in order to allow the artists equipment and tools to dictate the aesthetic of the space. Red metal panels were introduced to indicate programmatic changes in the space. A pass-through separates the insulated and non-insulated programming, acting as a covered entrance and exterior workspace.
