Architect:MORRISON DILWORTH + WALLS
Location:Dallas, Texas, USA; | ;
Project Year:2006
Category:Private Houses
This house was designed on a site overlooking a public park in a subdivision that is devoted exclusively to modern architecture. The house, designed for two men, presents an essentially blind facade to the street while opening to views of the park through large, glazed windows. The owners were so pleased with the presentation of the powder room lavatory that they have made it a part of the entry experience by leaving it exposed to view. One of the owners is a photographer so the garage doubles as a photographic studio.
1. Facade cladding – Traditional 3-part Stucco
2. Flooring – Troweled and clear-sealed concrete slab
3. Walls and Ceilings – 5/8“ painted drywall
4. Glass Windows and Doors – Thermal Windows, Dallas, Texas
5. Plumbing Fittings – Vola
6. Lighting - Lightolier
