This heritage cottage transformed from a modest single storey terrace in the inner west suburb of Erskineville into a luxurious and spacious industrial oasis. The juxtaposition between the cottage to the front and industrially sized living areas to the rear complement the needs of a large growing family whilst being closely connected to the inner-city bustle of Erskineville. The brief was for the naturality of materials to shine. The boldness in the exposed concrete and structural elements; coupled with the delicate colouring of the plywood joinery and softness of the recycled timbers create a refined and sophisticated architectural language.
