沿海城市大多如同海边的礁石，被海对岸的文化浪潮不断冲刷，最终把变化烙印在身上。而同样被海派文化和西方潮流交汇冲击的城市——江门新会，却像浪花抚过的沙滩，包容着时代带回的一切，也保留着可贵的自我。

Most of the coastal cities are like reefs on the seashore, which are constantly washed against by the cultural tide on the other side of the sea and eventually imprinted changes on themselves. While as a city also impacted by Shanghai culture and western trends, Xinhui in Jiangmen, is like a beach touched by waves, containing everything brought by the times and retaining its valuable self.

设计师认为，这种特殊的气质，也应赋予给选址于此的「Peter House餐厅」。

The designers believe that this special temperament should also be given to Peter House restaurant located here.

Peter House的命名让人仿佛瞬间穿越时空到剑桥Peter House学院，那些饱含历史的沧桑院墙和巨大的圆形拱窗，像凝固为实体的层叠记忆，承载着一代又一代学者过客的人生。以火焰炙烤出来的灰砖赋予外墙自带温润的质感和厚度，让这家餐厅以优雅的姿态融入这个街区。

The name, Peter House, seems to bring a time travel to Peter House college in Cambridge, where courtyard walls and huge circular arch windows with a sense of history are like years of solidified memories carrying the lives of generations of scholars and passers-by. A warm texture and thickness of the exterior walls made of fired grey bricks allow the restaurant to integrate gracefully into the neighborhood.

拱檐下的空间被最大程度地做成了玻璃门窗，窗户用了折叠开关的设计，让街道和餐厅联系起来。部分墙体被替换成橘色的玻璃砖，绿植的加入让空间保留通透的同时又富有活力。大面积的玻璃使用，是设计师给光影这位魔术师布置的绝佳舞台，随时间流逝上演千变万化的精彩演出。

Under the arched eaves, glass doors and windows were designed to the greatest extent, and folding windows allow the restaurant to connect with the street. Some of the walls replaced with orange glass bricks and the addition of greenery keep the space transparent and vibrant. A large area of glass is designed to be the perfect stage for the magician “light and shadow” to perform kaleidoscopic wonderful performances over time.

拱形也被运用在宽阔的环形吧台酒柜，平整而流畅的金属表面是匠人高超工艺的佐证，优美的弧舒展到天花顶部，似女星摇曳的金色裙摆。琳琅美酒恰如参差点缀其中的宝石，而酒保扮演着裁缝，不时挑选更换镶嵌的珠宝，让“女星”成为场内无法忽视的焦点。

Arch is also used in the design of the wide ring bar counter and wine cabinet whose flat and smooth metal surface is the evidence of the craftsmen’s superb technology, and its beautiful arc stretches to the top of the ceiling, just like the swaying golden skirt of a actress. A wide variety of fine wine is just like jewels set in it, and the bartender plays the role of a dressmaker selecting and changing inlaid jewels from time to time to make the "actress" the focus that cannot be ignored in the restaurant.

沿着吧台探索，工业风的细管吊灯悬挂在空中，像错落的星辰，将来客引入美酒长廊和用餐区域。风潮如起伏的海浪，倾倒进酒杯便化成波光粼粼的亮片。设计师截取它们，装饰在精心排列的传统砖墙上，红砖和金属是这个楼层真正的主角，它们代表过往和未来的相遇，是传统和前卫的融合。

Along the bar counter, industrial style chandeliers hang in the air like scattered stars, leading visitors to the wine corridor and dining area. The wind is like undulating waves, which turns into sparkling sequins when poured into a wine glass. And the designers cut them out and decorate them on the carefully arranged traditional brick walls. Red brick and metal are the real protagonists of this floor, which represent the meeting of the past and the future, and the integration of tradition and avant-garde.

人潮如烟，二楼的挑空休息区，是观察烟波的最佳位置。特殊做工的金属饰面让空间低调且贵气，镜面天花在视觉上拓展了空间深度，而舒适的座位和灯光增加了整体的柔和感。酒柜设计，则是设计师致敬Carlo Scarpa的名作Brion Family Cemetery时印象最深的设计符号——双环，设计师致敬远逝的时光并希望在此它能展现出新的寓意。

The crowd is like smoke, and the rest area open to below on the second floor is the best place to observe the smoke.The metal finish with a special process makes the space low-key and noble, and the mirrored ceiling visually expands the depth of the space, while the comfortable seats and lights increase the overall softness. The design of the wine cabinet is to pay tribute to the most impressive double-ring design symbol when the designer appreciated the masterpiece Brion family cemetery by Carlo Scarpa, with a tribute to the past time and a hope of showing a new meaning here.

如时间造就城市，同样被时间雕琢的「Peter House餐厅」，无需追寻声色霓虹，传统与风潮如双环交汇，于急变中保留真我……

As time creates a city, "Peter House Restaurant" also shaped by time does not need to pursue the neon. Tradition and fashion intersect like a double-ring, preserving the true self in the rapid change.
