The Freshkills Park, at over three times the size of Central Park, will be developed in New York City in phases for the next 30 years. As part of those initial first phases, Schmul Park has undergone a renovation, complete with a children’s playground, creating strong preliminary connections between the neighborhood and the large Freshkills site.
