Think Contemporary designed a concept for a new 4 storey bar and restaurant named Hyde, using a contemporary but art deco feel with a unique color palette and a curation of Irish artists’ work.
Think Contemporary were engaged by Secret Seasonings to design a concept for a new 4 storey bar and restaurant called Hyde on the corner of Lemon St and Duke Lane, just off Grafton St, Dublin 2, Ireland.
The venue was to consist of a small ground floor cafe/bar, large bar and restaurant on the second floor and a roof terrace bar on the third floor. Their client was keen to bring something new and fresh to the market, giving their clientele an experience as they travel throughout the space. There was a similarity to a lot of other venues in Dublin and they wanted to create something completely different to this.
Think Contemporary’s approach to the project was to create a contemporary interior but with an art deco feel. Their concept uses a mix of rich and vibrant materials, with a strong and unique colour palette, which is not widely used in this arena. Artwork was also an
integral part of the design, and they worked closely alongside Hang Tough gallery to curate a collection, showcasing a number of Irish artists for the space. They wanted to create a space that would bring clientele back again and again, making Hyde a truly unique experience.
