2020 年 HCREATES 室内设计回顾丨中国上海

Before we jump into 2021, We’d like to review all the good things that happened in 2020. We had a brief break from F&B at the beginning of the year as we completed a workspace and retail project for Switching Time, a sleek and trendy office space, and On The List, a fast-moving luxury product store launching their successful concept in China.

Then back to the F&B as the weather warmed up.  First-up was Cantina Agave, a well-loved and long-standing institution that received a complete renovation of warm woods, bright blues, and a swanky new feature bar.

The Broken Dagger is a dark-paneled speakeasy with heavenly themes hidden behind a street mural. Gin & Juice a juniper inspired interior of blue and earthy hues. Both made a splash with the public and won awards at the That Shanghai awards. Broken Dagger for best Cocktail Bar and Gin &Juice for New Bar Of The Year.

GIN & JUICE

La Baracca is a quaint little neighborhood spritz bar with a raw and rustic interior and relaxed vibes. A new clean and fresh look for Pho Store in the new Foodie Social in Xintiandi. We also helped Brewlosophyto launch their first store in Jing An – a three-story venue dedicated to their locally brewed craft beer with a modern, industrial interior.

Heading out of Shanghai hcreates put their touch into

Ningbo, a popular neighborhood bakery with a clean-lined and cosy feel. Tap & Co in Shenzhen a modern taphouse with a sleek, dark interior contrasted with rustic oak furniture.

Rounding out the year was another collaboration with the team at Luneurs to launch their new bakery and brunch concept in OneITC. We continued to develop the brand, this time introducing more planting and floor to ceiling shelving. The store opened with great acclaim and long lines out the door.

Of course in the latter part of 2020, we were busy working on several new projects which will be revealed in the coming months. We look forward to sharing them with you.
