During its rich history, this glorious building in the heart of Moscow has changed its purpose several times. Initially, at the end of the 19th century, it was built as a tenement house, in the Soviet years the state Intourist company was based here, and later its premises were used as a bottling plant for Georgian wine. And now, after some time of despair, the house got a new life – now it is a residential house with a few apartments and unique interiors. Inone of these homes, the Porte Rouge studio was commissioned by the owner to create a dark-colored, intimate space reminiscent of a Gothic castle, yet built on elegant, timeless shapes and lines. What came of it – see our today’s tour!See also:Moscow apartment for a musician family
