在美的范畴内没有抽象的思想，只有个别的实体

侘”的原意是简陋，在禅宗中安于简陋被认为是一种美德，从外表的粗糙，能看到内在完美，讲究的是“陋外慧中”；“寂”在古语中的意思是“旧化，生锈”，从老旧事物的外表下，显露出的一种充满岁月感的美；即使是外表斑驳，或是褪色暗淡，都无法阻挡的一种震撼美。

The original meaning of wabi is humble. In Zen Buddhism, being content with humble is considered as a virtue. From the roughness of the exterior, we can see the inner perfection. Ji in the old saying means old, rusty, from the appearance of old things, revealed a sense of beauty full of years; Even if the appearance of mottled, or faded, can not stop a shock of beauty.

新事物从生到无,从无到生，我们不能贸然就认定它是在逐渐生成，还是走向衰亡，侘寂美学是接受渐渐消逝生命、接受无可避免的审美态度
