Despite the initially industrial nature of thehome(the apartment is located in a new residential complex on the site of the former Russian Railways warehouses in Moscow), its owner, the daughter of the famous sculptor Dashi Namdakov, wanted more elegance and romance. The concrete ceiling with beams and columns is perhaps the only thing that designer Elina Smailova left untouched in this space. But the rough concrete surfaces have been toned down with clean, minimalist lines and classic wall panels. The unexpectedly bold pink bathroom and the same pink door leading to it stand apart. How do you like this mix of opposites?See also:Russian singer’s spacious apartment in Moscow
