Shake hands with architecture and talk with time

崇义学校是一所华侨集资为乡人建起的学校，由一栋民国书院、四层教学楼、一栋体育馆构成。由于时代的变迁，它已退去了原来的使命民国书院具有的历史纪念价值和教育意义，为塘口镇增添了一笔不可抹去的光彩。基地四周农田和植被环抱，院内保留着几颗古树，四季景异，形成一个具有地域特色的生态景观。

Chongyi School is a school built by overseas Chinese to raise funds for the villagers, which is composed of a college of the Republic of China, a four-story teaching building and a gymnasium. Due to the changes of The Times, it has receded from the original mission of the Republic of China Academy with historical memorial value and educational significance, adding an indelible luster to Tangkou Town. The base is surrounded by farmland and vegetation, and there are several ancient trees in the courtyard, which have different seasons, forming an ecological landscape with regional characteristics.

品侨乡文化，赏民国碉楼智慧

取崇义书院的原始定位，以“民国书院”为设计灵感，最大程度保留书院的建筑特色和文化内涵，融入新中式元素，将侨乡文化与社区的联系传承保存下来。意在让这座承载了当地几代侨民情感的旧书院在今时今日以全新的姿态呈现于旅客面前，为当地旅游、文化产业创造一处书香、记忆、文化延续的载体空间。

Taking the original positioning of Chongyi Academy and taking "College of the People" as the design inspiration, it preserves the architectural characteristics and cultural connotation of the academy to the greatest extent, integrates new Chinese elements, and preserves the connection between the culture of overseas Chinese hometown and the community. It is intended to make this old academy, which carries the emotions of local generations of overseas Chinese, present in front of tourists with a new attitude today, and create a carrier space for learning, memory and cultural continuation for local tourism and cultural industry.

清幽、淡雅的坪上书院，藏着历史书香气息，藏着时光，还藏着你向往的生活。

Quiet, elegant Pingyuan Academy, hiding the smell of history, hiding time, but also hiding your yearning for life.

跨时代文化交融碰撞，重现风华

在城市更新背景中，为延续城市文脉、拓展城市文化旅游发展空间的重要载体。将旧建筑活化改造，由历史记忆转向文化创意，旧空间转向新地标，实现跨时代文化交融碰撞，重现风华。

In the context of urban renewal, it is an important carrier to extend the urban context and expand the development space of urban cultural tourism. Old buildings will be revitalized and transformed, from historical memory to cultural creativity, from old space to new landmarks, to achieve cross-era cultural integration and collision, and reproduce the elegance.

中西文化在欲拒还迎中缓慢结合，将纷杂的文明熔合在同一地域容器中,在矛盾中衍生独具美感的磨合产物。从表面共存到标识符号消融，休眠的民国文化,等待重生......

那人，那景，那物，重游民国书院梦

Chinese and Western cultures are slowly combined in the process of resisting and welcoming, and the mixed civilizations are fused in the same regional container, and the unique aesthetic products are derived from the contradictions. From surface coexistence to logo melting, the dormant culture of the Republic of China is waiting for rebirth...... That person, that scene, that thing, re-visit the Republic of China academy dream......
