This wonderful example of a Mid Century Modern house was designed by the architect Norman Plastow in 1961 and can be found on a quiet residential road in Wimbledon.

The house was intelligently designed to create an uplifting sense of space throughout. A superb double-height, largely-glazed living room retains its original timber ceiling and a set of open tread ‘floating’ stairs connects the two floors. Norman Plastow was a noted Wimbledon architect who originally designed this house, built in the former grounds of a neighbouring property, for his own occupation. It was sold soon after the build was completed but the subsequent owners have sought to preserve the original  design and furnished it with appropriately contemporary furniture.
