Venice Biennale 2014: FundamentalsThe 14th International Architecture Exhibition was directed by Rem Koolhaas with the chosen theme Fundamentals. After several architecture Biennales dedicated to the celebration of the contemporary, Fundamentals looks at histories, tries to reconstruct how architecture finds itself in its current situation, and speculates on its future.Fundamentals consists of three interlocking exhibitions: Elements of Architecture in the Central Pavilion; Monditalia in the Arsenale; and Absorbing Modernity: 1914-2014 in the National Pavilions.
