Jonathan’s The Rub, a family-owned and operated restaurant, partnered with Gensler to open its second location, which welcomes a new wave of clientele with an enhanced dining experience. The space was designed to be an extension of the chef’s home, blending residential-inspired furnishings with eclectic design elements to evoke feelings of comfort and nostalgia. Similar to the rooms in a house, the atmosphere and interior design of each space within the restaurant features a distinct character. The restaurant is located within Memorial Green, a mixed-use development at the heart of Houston’s upscale Memorial neighborhood. Gensler also served as the base building architect for the development, which allowed the design team to streamline our services for an expeditious delivery.
