JLL Carolinas’ new office at Legacy Union brings together over 150 employees and reflects thecommercial real estatecompany’s culture and values in a high-performing, employee-focused workspace. The workplace was designed in the midst of the pandemic with a strict timeline and budget, making flexibility and teamwork driving factors of the project. The 40,500-square-foot office features a hospitality-focused entry zone, a large work cafe, a variety of meeting rooms, and open office space, complete with pockets of flexible collaboration zones, a podcast room, and a library.Located in the heart of uptown, JLL’s Charlotte office is attractive and accessible for employees and clients alike. The sweeping views of the city fabric and surrounding South End neighborhood create a bright and inviting backdrop. Spaces at the building perimeter are ethereal and draw upon JLL’s visionary spirit, while rooms at the building core feature a darker aesthetic and are designed to support focus work. Through a collaborative partnership between JLL, Gensler, and Rodgers, the team was able to quickly adapt to meet the needs of a changing world and seamlessly optimize the design of the new JLL Carolinas office.
