上海杨浦区 KIC 广场——未来办公空间的绿色演绎

Amid 14 universities and 65 research institutes in Shanghai’s Yangpu district, this one million-square-meter mixed-use development houses technology offices, retail and a hotel. Recognizing that the term “office” is increasingly complex and abstract, the project embodies the vision of a workplace of the future. The complex embraces flexibility and mobility in the workplace, exhibiting diverse programmatic functions, including areas for focus, idea-exchange, leisure and public events. A central public square provides a sense of community, and external stairs and balconies expose interior movement and energy. Sustainability, views and energy efficiency were key considerations in Gensler’s design of the building.
