The Kunshan MiXC retail center challenges the mold of the giant air-conditioned retail box by offering a true lifestyle center complete with a series of relaxing gardens to encourage visitors to linger and enjoy their shopping experience. The retail center creates ambiance by welcoming abundant light from overhead and incorporating lush gardens and small nooks to encourage people to wander or simply sit and contemplate during busy shopping trips. The design concept represents a departure from the current retail center model, allowing shoppers to constantly weave in and out of natural environments and discover secret places to sit outdoors and take a break — even in the middle of the mall.
