LinkedIn recently moved its approximately 3,200-square-foot Washington, D.C. office to accommodate its growing government services group, inspiring a dynamic workspace experience redesign to reconnect employees back to the office. “Manifest,” the concept that drove the workplace design, is a celebration of the district’s ability to empower a voice of change and progress throughout history. Design motifs were drawn from political and social justice references, such as Shepard Fairey posters, picket signs, and campaign buttons, as a nod to the countless movements for change, justice, and equality that have occurred in D.C. This concept aligns perfectly with the values and mission that LinkedIn upholds of bringing economic opportunity to all. The result is a workspace that inspires pride in the work LinkedIn’s D.C. staff focuses on as well as an overarching pride for the legacy of the city of D.C.
