Memorial Hermann’s Network Operations Center lets them monitor the attributes of network and IT operations as well as the status of mechanical, electrical, security, and fire systems across all of their buildings—all from one place. The consolidation gives them one centralized platform to gather and disseminate information they collect for all of the places in which they operate. In addition to gathering, visualizing, and monitoring systems, the NOC is also used as a response coordination center. A thoughtful design elevates the space from a mere utilitarian work zone into a workplace that recognizes the needs of the employees that work there. Amenities like a coffee bar and individual lighting controls at each console help to reduce fatigue and reenergize employees.
