Gensler developed this interactive installation for the lobby of its Los Angeles office in collaboration with interactive agency The Hive. The multi-surface table creates a digitally enabled, self-driven experience for visitors to explore while they wait to be received. What first appears as a book on a table is actually monitored by a motion-tracking camera concealed in the ceiling above, so that when the book is approached, a projected interface lights on the table’s surface, allowing users to control the adjacent video screen through which they can see Gensler stories. The interactive experience allows Gensler to present its branded communications while demonstrating new ways for companies to engage their clients.
