Having grown through acquisition, photo-publishing service Shutterfly recognized the importance of creating a sense of common purpose and community across its work teams. In designing new offices where several business teams could co-locate, Gensler sought to connect employees to the heart of Shutterfly’s product offering. Working with a limited budget, the team focused on high-impact areas such as collaboration spaces, applying a bold, whimsical graphic vocabulary that showcases storytelling and brings the brand to life. The resulting space captures the emotion at the core of all the company’s brands – celebrating and sharing life’s moments, big and small.
