As part of a multi-year effort to consolidate this software engineering company’s worldwide data centers, three new regional centers are being engineered as Tier 2+ facilities, incorporating elements commonly associated with Tier 2 and Tier 3 centers and addressing the firm’s 10-year growth projections. The first of the three, the North American data center, incorporates two data halls, each sized to accommodate 112 server cabinets at 10kW per cabinet. The building is passively cooled via rooftop-mounted air conditioners using indirect evaporative cooling to help achieve the project PUE goal of 1.35.
