The Southwestern College (SWC) Student Union will become the heart of the school campus and provide students and faculty with a new space to engage, interact, and socialize. As a complement to SWC’s academic experience, the new Student Union will offer spaces for students to meet and hang out, be exposed to diverse ideas, and connect through mutual interests. To accommodate growth and student demand, the new student complex brings together support services for activities, student government, a bookstore, cafeteria, and dining experience in a single, centralized facility designed by a team of Gensler’s Education designers.Dining is a crucial component of life on campus and plays a powerful role in building community on campus by bringing diverse groups of people together and serving as a central gathering space. A major component of the new Student Union will be a campus food service facility, offering students and faculty the opportunity to meet and dine together.
